Fantabulous weekend!

We had such a great weekend...no sleep, but lots of fun! We got to Dallas late Friday night and pretty much went straight to bed, only to be awakened by Ryne at 4 am thinking it was "wake-up time"! So we started our morning pretty early! After having lunch with Nanny and GranJan, we headed out for our date day. We started by going to Dave and Buster's for some arcades. We played for about an hour and won over 3500 tickets. Ryne got a big stuffed hipo, a rabbit that moves and hops, and some ring pops. About 2700 tickets were won on one game. We had a great system, I wouldn't look and Jeremy would tell me when to stop. We landed on the 500 two times doing it like that! After DAB we went to a movie - Armored. It was a good movie. A little slow at first, but then it picked up. We had a little time to kill before heading to Cowboy Stadium so we went to a Texas Game Day store to do some shopping. Jeremy found a great jacket and I picked up a toboggan because it was cold! We had a long walk to get into the stadium, so we were happy with our new purchases! Once inside it was nice and warm though. The stadium is awesome! It really felt more like a mall when we first walked in. We grabbed dinner (nachos are a must have at any sporting event!) and headed WAY up to our seats. The game was stressful - but had a great finish, so it was all good! We were happy when we were leaving at midnight! I can honestly now say I am a Longhorn fan. I have been a "fan" for J's benefit, but really didn't care! ha! But after actually watching a game...I kinda liked it. We got back to Pops and GranJan's super late! We talked about the game for awhile then called it a night. We were up early the next morning to meet Jeff and Diane for breakfast. We had a good time visiting and Ryne loved showing off her tricks! She hides things in her hand and has you guess which hand...very cute! Plus she is the master at taking noses! :) Then we were back in the car heading home.

We made it home at 3, then left again about 3:15 to go to Ella's party. Ella's party was Christmas themed and so much fun! Santa even made an appearance! On the way there I was asking Ryne if she was going to sit on Santa's lap and she said no. Then I asked about her friends. She always said yes to her friends and no to her doing it. When I asked her why she said, "Ryne too little"! ha! Where do kids come up with these things? Once we got there she saw Santa and said, "I hold Santa, I give him big hug!" I was shocked but said okay. She took off running to him, then got about 5 feet away and froze! Later on she did warm up to him and sat on his lap several times. She even found a little Santa to give to him! They also got to decorated cookies. That was one of the things on our list! She had fun but got a little carried away with the green sprinkles! Happy Birthday Ella! Your party was so fun!
After the party we went to dinner with the Sanders. The girls were silly and would just look at each other and crack up! Ryne had alot of pent up energy from being in the car and lost interest in sitting still! At one point she was trying to take her sweater off...it was really hard to keep a straight face when she and everyone else was cracking up! lol!

Fun Friday!

Yeah, we match...what about it?

Kristen and Tucker came over to play today. It was a lot of fun! We were only able to play outside for a few minutes because it was really cold and Ryne isn't the best about keeping her hat/hood on! But they enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and did not want to come back inside! After they left it was nap time. While I was laying Ryne down she said, "I like Tucker". :) Pretty darn cute!Tonight we leave for Texas...Go Longhorns! :)

My silly monkey!

I know I have said this several times, but I love this stage with Ryne. Every stage has been wonderful, but I think this is the best! Ryne has been cracking us up with her humor! She is so funny! The other night I was changing her diaper and noticed that she had smeared vaseline on all the diapers. I said, "hmmm....there is vaseline everywhere", Ryne said "What?!?!" The way she said it was what made it so funny. If you watch "How I Met Your Mother" (not that Ryne does!), it was exactly like Barney says it. Too funny! Now she will randomly repeat that just because she knows it made me laugh the first time.

Just in case you forgot her name!

She tries to do this every time after bath!

Can't play outside with out your baby and bunny!

Last night Jeremy got the great idea to drive through Burns Park to see all the lights. Ryne loved it! As soon as we could see them from the highway she was excited! When we paid the lady gave us a handful of small candy canes. Ryne was not a fan! But she was a fan of all the lights. She really liked going through the tunnels the best. I'm sure we will be back again! Once we got home she was super excited to see "Ryne's lights" on at our house. Gotta love the timers! :)A new tradition this year is the house/calendar that counts down the days until Christmas. I small piece of candy in each one and Ryne loves getting that days out. When she gets older we will put pieces of paper in there of something fun to do...like make a gingerbread house, rent a movie, take cookies to a nursing home, etc. But for now candy will do!

I adore a long weekend!

We got so much done this weekend...I love it! Of course on Thursday we went to be with family. Jeremy and I rotate where we spend Thanksgiving every year. We wish we could see everyone, but unfortunately we can't so this seems like the fair way to do it. This year was Thanksgiving with my side. We had such a great time seeing everyone. We were actually able to see both the Martin and Bradford side. It was a great day!Not long after getting to the Bradford's, Ryne took a spill and was left with this bump! They all joked that she wouldn't have gotten beat up if she wasn't wearing Texas!

Ryne loved playing with her cousins!
We made a day trip to Oklahoma, so were home by around 9:30. I was planning on getting up early to go get Ryne a Barbie Jeep, however my eye was swollen shut and I had a horrible headache. Jeremy saved the day and offered to wake up super early (3:30) to go get it. He was the first one to check out, I so think he should have won a prize for that! lol! The rest of the day was spent doing CHRISTmas decorations around the house and putting up the tree. Oh, and of course carrying out the rest of our putting up the tree traditions...Christmas movie and pizza!
Ryne working on her tree...
Of course it isn't really Christmas until the leg lamp is displayed proudly!

While getting out all the Christmas stuff, we figured we might as well have a garage sale. We were sold out by noon so I had time to do a little shopping with my mom when she got in town. It was nice to have some mother-daughter time. I can't remember the last time we went shopping together!

Ryne helping with the garage sale!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know we did! We have so much to be thankful for. It is so easy to take so many things for granted. It is nice to remember to give thanks for all the many blessings in our lives.

Happy Fall Ya"ll!

We took some family pictures for our Christmas cards, but to me they scream fall! Fall is my favorite time of year. I wish it lasted alot longer! It always makes me sad when all the leaves have fallen and the cold weather comes in. I think the high 60's/low 70's are perfect!

The best little assistant ever!

Not a fan of the hat!

Ryne's first date...

I had a girls night (so much fun and much needed!) on Friday, so Jeremy decided to take Ryne on a date. Of course they went to ChuckECheese! Jeremy said they had a great time and when they were leaving she told them, "Thank you, see you next time"! ha! Girl does love her CEC! Oh, and before they went on their "date", they had to stop by the bank. Ryne told them "thank you for the money"! I guess she thinks they just give you money...I wish!

Yesterday Jeremy left at 4:30am (!) to meet Manley in Ft. Smith to golf. Crazy boys! So Ryne and I spent the day together until about 3. We went shopping, ate lunch, played outside, and had some great mommy and ry-ry time! I think we found her "big girl" furniture too, just have to take J to see it. When J got back, my parents came over to watch Ryne while we went on a double date with my little brother and his girlfriend. We went to watch New Moon, and I really liked it despite the boys! lol! The girls watching the movie cracked me up. Lets just say they were all pretty vocal when the shirtless Jacob showed up and Edward proposed! BTW - it is crazy that we double dated with my baby brother! But we did and his girlfriend was very cute and sweet!

First bow!

Okay, so technically it is barely in there...but I am counting it! :)
Ryne actually had a great time picking out which bows to put in. She is slowly trying to make green her favorite color, so it was no surprise that she picked out the green one first. If you ask her what color she wants, she will say green about 90% of the time right now.

She has been cracking us up this week, like usual! Last night we were hiding from Daddy when he got home like we always do. Jeremy was making a big production of trying to find us yelling, "where's Ryne". Ryne started yelling back, "I hiding in the tent with mommy"! Then we overheard her telling her babies, "listen to me, be nice to Adee". Today we were getting to the bank and she said, "I don't need no money". Then when we were leaving she said (unprompted), "see you next time"...the ladies inside died laughing because of the little voice so politely saying "see you next time". I guess I say that, I just don't know when! Oh, and they told me at daycare that she has perfected the eye roll!!!! What?! They said she will completely roll her eyes when they tell her no. I have never seen her do it, but I don't doubt it! I have a little diva on my hands! lol!
